Let Yourself Be Guided Deeper Into Nature

Being WOW
More than just an organization, A way of living

Awarenss of two leaves stuck together in the forest
Climbing wild in the tree tops and belonging
A brown trail surrounded by green is the start of a journey

Our mission is to invite the world into wholeness through community, connection, and consciousness rooted in deep Earth practices. We provide a supportive and transformative experience to explore what it means to be alive, human, and soulful on this Earth.

We connect people with nature, teaching the basics of the natural world (our home) through naturalist skills, wildlife tracking, navigation, fire building, ancestral skills and more. We use the art of questioning, core routines, natural cycles, and mentoring while playing hard and getting muddy. We honor our ancestors and their life ways of being on this planet as we investigate and question our own.

We model life skills and ways of being that contribute to harmony, growth, and foster powerful soulful leadership. From working through individual challenges like spinning a bow drill coal, to the teamwork and communication required to build a group shelter. From the deep listening demanded by council circles as well as deep sharing and speaking from the heart.

We invite the sacred by honoring ancestors, ourselves and each other in the creation of ritual and ceremony. We agree to suspend known reality as we enter ceremonial space to let go of what no longer serves and invite new possibilities.

We use the tools of consciousness and awareness.

We use the tools of nature and wildness.

We use the tools of community and village.

We use tools of heart and soul.

WOW is a way of being. Being whole. Integrating wisdom. Loving the Earth. Becoming ourselves.

Teaching Philosophy

  • Natural Cycles and Flow Learning

    • Programs follow ancient cycles of the Earth and take us on a journey of discovery to awaken enthusiasm, focus our attention, experience directly, and share inspiration.

  • Core Routines

    • We practice these often to deepen our connection to the natural world, sharpen our awareness, and practice belonging.

  • Invisible School and Coyote Mentoring

    • We are a school without a classroom, guiding by tapping into children's passions and inspiration like games, adventure, and imagination and hands-on experiences.

  • Kinship and Naturalist Skills

    • We practice being in relationship by learning about the plants, animals and ecosystems in which we live. This includes natural history, biology, bush crafts uses, medical uses and more.

  • Cultural Skills

    • We practice being together though ways of council, showing up for others and ourselves, in ceremony and more.

  • Ceremony

    • WOW invites the sacred into programs through ritual and ceremony. These are intended to welcome people no matter their beliefs and religious backgrounds.

  • Consciousness and Awareness

    • Consciousness gets us out of judgment of ourselves and others to guide us toward the freedom to choose. Awareness grows our knowing

Inviting the world into wholeness through community, connection and consciousness rooted in deep Earth practices

Welcome Home,
Take Off Your Shoes,
Get Your Feet Wet

"There’s a thread you follow. It goes among
things that change. But it doesn’t change.
People wonder about what you are pursuing.
You have to explain about the thread.
But it is hard for others to see.
While you hold it you can’t get lost.
Tragedies happen; people get hurt
or die; and you suffer and get old.
Nothing you do can stop time’s unfolding.
You don’t ever let go of the thread."

Story of
WOW

Night Sky with Stars

Every dream. Every experience. Each soul — whether embodied or not in that person's life — is a story longing to be told. The world itself is a story; indeed, it might be more accurate to say the world is made up of stories than to say it is made up of atoms, earth, trees, and other things.
- Bill Plotkin

Awaken Your Inner Fire

WOW is the smile on a childs face when she sees her first campfire in the woods. It's the celebration as he lights his first 1 match fire. It's the wonder as they learn how to tend that fire from small flames into sustainable coals, how to light it with a fire striker, and eventually a bow drill. WOW guides him to learn the best kindling, and wood to burn. It's the magic as a snow storm threatens to put out the fire and she relies on the wisdom of experience to keep it going. WOW is the magic of their tending the fire for the community and then teaching others how to light their own flames to carry into the world.

Our fires are far more than physical flames. They are the fires of our hearts, the lights of our souls, the gifts we each bring to this world. The dreams we are willing to say yes to, the journies we are each on.

Help Us Manifest A Wall Tent

Our Goal is $4,500 by May 1st.

We are dreaming of a wall tent to...

     - store our equipment

     - protect us from inclement weather

     - provide additional space for programs, ceremonies, and more

Our Goal of $4,500 is to cover the cost of the canvas tent, the wood stove, and

the lumber to construct a platform base. We are grateful for your contributions

to our go-fund-me campaign below.
